This Copyright Statement sets out the rights and responsibilities of authors, AIJOSH, and users concerning the ownership, publication, distribution, and reuse of articles.
1. Authors’ Warranties
Authors warrant that their manuscript is original, that all listed authors have approved its submission, and that its publication does not infringe the rights of others.
Authors must hold the copyright or have sufficient authorization from the relevant rights holders to permit publication under this policy. Any existing agreements or third-party rights that could conflict with publication or licensing must be disclosed to the editorial office.
Prior dissemination, including through preprints, theses, dissertations, or conference materials, must be disclosed in accordance with the journal’s Author Guidelines. Previously published work must not be submitted as an original, unpublished article without disclosure and editorial agreement.
Authors are responsible for obtaining any necessary permissions for third-party material and providing accurate acknowledgments and credit lines.
2. Copyright Ownership and Authors’ Rights
Authors retain copyright to their articles. Publication in AIJOSH does not require the transfer of copyright to the journal.
Subject to applicable third-party rights, authors may:
-
Reproduce and distribute their work.
-
Prepare translations, adaptations, and other derivative works.
-
Use their work in teaching, presentations, and subsequent scholarly publications.
-
Deposit and share their work through institutional or subject repositories in accordance with the journal’s Electronic Archiving.
-
Enter into additional, non-exclusive distribution agreements, including inclusion of the article in a book or collected volume.
When sharing or republishing the published article, authors must acknowledge its initial publication in AIJOSH and retain the relevant citation, DOI or article link, and licensing information.
As copyright holders, authors may authorize uses beyond the permissions provided by the article’s public license, including commercial uses. Such arrangements must respect any third-party rights and must not restrict permissions already granted to users under the published license.
3. Publication Rights Granted to the Journal
Upon acceptance and agreement to publication, authors grant AIJOSH a non-exclusive right to publish, reproduce, distribute, display, and preserve the article and to identify the journal as its original publication venue.
This permission includes preparing publication formats, distributing article metadata, and making the article available through indexing, discovery, repository, and preservation services.
Authors authorize publication under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0).
Editorial preparation must preserve the scholarly meaning of the work. Substantive changes require author approval, except for editorial notices or actions undertaken in accordance with the journal’s publication ethics and correction policies.
4. Co-Authorship
For jointly authored articles, the submitting author must confirm that all co-authors have reviewed and agreed to this copyright and licensing policy and have authorized submission of the manuscript.
The corresponding author coordinates communication with the journal and is responsible for sharing relevant publication and licensing information with all co-authors.
Disagreements concerning copyright ownership, authorship, or authority to grant publication permission must be disclosed promptly. AIJOSH may suspend manuscript processing while such disagreements remain unresolved and may refer disputes to the relevant institutions or rights holders.
5. Royalties
AIJOSH does not pay authors royalties or other remuneration for publication or for uses authorized under this policy.
Any publication charges are governed separately by the journal’s published fee policy. Such charges do not transfer copyright ownership to the journal or guarantee acceptance.
6. Users’ and Public Rights
Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0).
Users may reproduce, redistribute, translate, modify, and build upon the material, subject to these conditions:
-
Attribution: Credit the authors and AIJOSH as the original publication source, retain applicable notices, provide the DOI or article link and license link, and indicate changes.
-
NonCommercial: Use the material only for noncommercial purposes. Commercial reuse requires separate permission from the relevant copyright holder unless otherwise permitted by law.
-
ShareAlike: Distribute adaptations under the same license or a Creative Commons-recognized compatible license.
-
No additional restrictions: Do not impose legal or technological restrictions that prevent others from exercising the licensed rights.
Reuse must not imply endorsement by the authors, journal, or publisher. These permissions remain available to users who comply with the license. The full license terms govern reuse.
7. Third-Party Material and Other Rights
Third-party material is covered by the article’s license only where the relevant rights holder has authorized its inclusion under that license. Excluded material must be identified in a credit line.
Users must obtain separate permission for reuse of excluded material unless their use is otherwise permitted by law.
The license does not override applicable privacy, publicity, or moral rights. Statutory exceptions and uses of public-domain material remain unaffected.
8. Copyright Concerns
Anyone who believes that material published in AIJOSH infringes their rights should contact the editorial office through the journal’s official contact page.
Reports should identify the article and disputed material, explain the rights claimed, and provide supporting documentation.
AIJOSH will assess the concern, seek responses from the relevant parties, and take appropriate action under its publication ethics and correction policies. Depending on the findings, this may include correcting attribution, replacing or removing specific material, or issuing an editorial notice. Any action affecting the published record will be documented transparently.
